What
to Expect
What time should I arrive?
The
service officially begins at 10am, however we suggest arriving early,
15-20 minutes, to enjoy “Jehovah Java”, where you
can expect to enjoy your
choice of light breakfast items, hot/cold beverages, and a terrific
time of
getting acquainted and fellowship.
What should I wear?
Expect
others to be dressed in relaxed
Sunday dress or business casual, such as ladies in pants, and men
without ties.
However, as Jesus welcomed, we say please just come as you! Come as you
are!
What about my kids?
Our
worship time is for families. Your kids
are welcome to fly flags, dance, sing outloud…whatever you
encourage is best.
Children are also welcome to watch a children’s worship video
in our Kingdom
Kidz Zone classroom, during the Family Worship time (no supervision
provided.)
Following
worship, the children are invited
to go to “Kingdom Kidz Zone”, where they will enjoy
and receive their own
ministry of exciting, hands-on learning experiences. Your children
will be
enjoy crafts, games (sometimes outdoors), drama, a memory verse, and a
snack.
Most importantly, they will be loved and will grow to know God more
deeply.
How long is the service?
Sunday
Morning Service begins at 10:00 am
and continues until the Lord tells us He’s done! Most Sundays
service ends
between 11:30-12pm.
What is the service like?
Because
worship is so vital to who we are
at River
of Life
and what God is accomplishing in
hearts, we begin the service with a Spirit-led time of praise and
worship music.
This can be approximately 25-35 minutes depending on the ways Father
God
chooses to communicate with us during this time. There have been times
of
lingering where He gives prophecy, words of knowledge, a word in
tongues (or
another language) with Biblical interpretation following. So, we try to
give
Him a chance to speak, not just us doing all the
“talking!” We invite all to
relax in worship, to do so as you feel free. Some stand, some sit,
kneel, wave
flags, meditate on the words being sung, pray, listen to the Lord,
dance…it’s
all welcome in relationship with Daddy!
Following
worship, we share a public
sharing time of praise reports and prayer requests, followed by
intercessory
prayer and laying on of hands for those that desire.
Pastor Mark, then shares a powerful and relevant message, followed by a
worship
response song and more ministry as the Lord leads.
One
of our many emerging mottos at RoL…”as
the Lord leads.”
Children
will remain in their classroom(s)
until picked up after the closing song. Childcare, upon being notified,
will
continue if ministry for parents is desired.
